Disney Vacation Club

Norwood Amanda and Pam

Have you ever wondered what “The Best Kept Secret” was? Norwood and I always see the little booths set up and after we walk by we remark to each other… “I wonder what Disney can really offer?” While on a pin trading day at Epcot last month I saw a perfect little Minnie Mouse Pin that CM Pamm had to trade. So I stopped and made the trade and then Pamm was nice that we decided to take the van and hear the presentation. It is about 90 minutes (longer if you have questions like Norwood and I. Everyone was friendly, there is not much pressure to buy anything if you need time to mull it over. Everyone associated with DVC was friendly and they made sure you had snacks and a ride to anywhere on Disney property (no need to worry about finding your way back to the car). The program and the material they give you about the program are quite impressive. They give you this large hardcover book with the current point rates, list of available and upcoming DVC resorts as well as information about the special perks that members have. What I thought was the most interesting part of the presentation is the model rooms that they take you through. You actually get to see and feel what it would be like to stay at a DVC location (well at least the ones at Disney World).

Although it was not a fit for Norwood and I (mainly because our dog Maverick) we do think they offer impressive accommodations to their members. It is worth hearing more information about if you have the time.
