Epcot Layout:
Epcot is basically divided into two sections; Futureworld and the World Showcase. Futureworld is a place where many of the big attractions (Test Track, Mission Space and Soarin) are located. It is also your best bet for seeing Disney Characters. The World Showcase is the place where you can walk around the world and visit other countries. Buying your Walt Disney Tickets before you to visit Epcot will save you money over the gate price.
