Resort Location:
Animal Kingdom Lodge is located in the Animal Kingdom Resort Area. Head towards Animal Kingdom and you will begin to see signs for the Lodge.
Resort Recreation:
Animal Kingdom Lodge offers a variety of activities such as parades and arts and crafts, and viewing the animals on the savanna with night vision (for an extra fee). Animal Kingdom Lodge is also the home of Uzima pool that has a slide and a pool bar.
AKL offers a variety of recreational activities for kids and adults. Upon check in make sure there is a Daily Activities Schedule in your welcome packet to see the days, location and time of the resort activities. Some of the activities include: arts and crafts such as cookie decorating and bead creations, tours such as the culinary tour which takes you through Jiko and Boma (even a small taste test) and the Primal Parade. AKL also offers Animal Viewing with Night Vision (an extra fee does apply) and a health club.
Resort Dining:
The Mara- a grab and go market place with sandwhiches, soda, chips, coffee and more.
Victoria Falls and Uzima Springs- a place to have drinks. Victoria Falls is located above Boma and Uzima Springs is located near the Uzima pool.
Boma- Buffet style sit down resturant that offers an American take on food from the African marketplace. They also offer a kids only buffet which features kid friendly meals such as mac n cheese and french fries. You will want to make reservations call 407-WDW-DINE to book breakfast or dinner.
Jiko- is a casual sit down restaurant with flavorful African cuisine and a large wine list. Reservations are strongly encouraged. Call 407-WDW-DINE.
Private Dining- Animal Kingdom Lodge has a large menu of items that are available to your room from 6:00am to midnight.
