Animal Kingdom Lodge

Animal Kingdom Lodge (3)

All the Disney Hotels are unique. The themes that each hotel portrays that makes our stays on Disney property special and let’s face more fun! One of the most unique Disney hotels that I have run into is Animal Kingdom Lodge. Every time I go there I am amazed of the animals that I see right there in the savanna. Zebras, giraffes, birds, cattle… amazing! It is like taking a Kilimanjaro Safari right there from your hotel balcony so of course it is on my list of the top five Disney Hotels and here are just five reasons why you must visit Animal Kingdom Lodge at least once…

1.The animals! Really it is remarkable that there are such beautiful animals right outside your window (make sure you get the savanna view). It is the only Disney Hotel that brings the park to you… literally!

2.The rooms! Remember way back in time when I mentioned how much I loved the furniture at Animal Kingdom Lodge… it is still true today. I fell in love with the furniture at Animal Kingdom Lodge from my first stay there and I would go back just to put my clothes in that amazing dresser again. (Oh and although I just have pictures of the standard room up I have seen inside the one bedroom rooms and villas… oh yes you will want one! BIG!!)

3.Boma! Granted you do not have to stay at Animal Kingdom Lodge to eat at Boma but if you want to stay in the room and have the awesome food of Boma brought to you then you will need to stay at Animal Kingdom Lodge (just remember coffee lovers… coffee is the same as it was in July . Although Boma is extremely good there is also Jiko (yum!) and The Mara which is actually on my list of top ten quick service eateries.

4.The Uzima pool. Wow talk about neat! I am not much of a swimmer but I love sitting next to this pool.

5.Holiday events… we spent Christmas eve last year at Animal Kingdom Lodge and there were so many fun things that they were doing at AKL. From Santa to Gingerbread Houses it was really festive; I will definitely be back during the holidays.
