Mickey’s PhilharMagic

Amanda at Mickey's PhilharMagic

We saw this neat 3D movie for the first time this year but we absolutely love it. This show really feels like Disney with Goofy, Donald, Mickey and Minnie putting on their symphony. I love the sound effects like when Goofy is running around before the show starts to find Donald and then later open the curtain. Or when you can hear little Minnie and her high heels clicking around back stage. Not only are the sound effects really neat in this show the 3D movie is amazing. When little Donald reaches out to grab onto something when the instruments become mad I always reach out my hands for him. My favorite movie scene of the show is when Donald ends up at the table in Beauty and the Beast, oh the smell of apple pie! And the end of the show! I laugh out loud every time I see little Donald in the back wall. Plus you get to wear the cool opera glasses! This show is one of my favorite things in Magic Kingdom tomorrow I will tell you more about my favorite Magic Kingdom rides. If you want to see more of my Magic Kingdom photos head on over to my Magic Kingdom Slideshow.

Spectro Magic Parade

Spectro Magic (8)

I remember the first time I saw this parade 2000 I was amazed at all the lights and the floats. My favorite float that seems to be around throughout the years is the Peacock. It is absolutely beautiful! I have to admit that although I am a sucker for parades (especially Disney Parades) this one I always look forward to. One night we decided to head out of the park early and as we were walking out the parade began making its way down Main Street. Well of course I made Norwood stopped and we stood on the steps of Exposition Hall to watch the parade. Here are a couple more shots of my favorite Magic Kingdom Parade…

Ahhh all the magical lights and music. But I have to ask… Where did Puff the Magic Dragon go?

Cinderella’s Castle

This week I thought I would talk about some of my favorite things at the Magic Kingdom. With all the time we have spent lately at Magic Kingdom (because of the awesome parties) I really began to realize how much I liked certain things about the park so all this week I will list my favorite things about Magic Kingdom. First up… well of course the beautiful icon of Magic Kingdom… Cinderella’s Castle!

Cinderella's Castle

Cinderella's Castle Night

I have hundreds of pictures from various years of the castle. Some with me in front of it, some with Walt and Mickey in the shot, some at night, some during special events, I even have one of Norwood and I kissing in front of it (thank you photo pass photographer). It is a symbol of magic, romance and well of course Magic Kingdom! Not only can you stand outside and watch the stage shows or simply take photos of it but you can also go inside and dine with royalty at Cinderella’s Royal Table. It is my absolute favorite thing in Magic Kingdom, stay tuned the rest of this week for more of my favorite Magic Kingdom things.

In the meantime if you would like to see more photos of Magic Kingdom check out my Magic Kingdom Slideshow.

Rafiki at Jammin Jungle Parade

The Jammin Jungle Parade is a great parade with impressive floats and costume all Animal Kingdom themed of course. It is a colorful lively parade that is something you will want to make sure to see when you are at Animal Kingdom. Like all Disney parades it is unique. Have a wonderful weekend!

Cheetahs in the Kilimanjaro Safaris

We are big fans of Kilimanjaro Safaris. As I mentioned on Monday every time we visit Animal Kingdom one of the first thing we do is head over to Africa and jump on the Kilimanjaro Safaris. We have tons of photos of the animals but we always seem to miss the cheetahs. They are always in the same place way back in the shade. Well on our recent trip to Animal Kingdom we finally got a decent shot of the Cheetahs…

Cheetahs (2)

There they are sun bathing their stomachs! Check out the larger version to get a better look. It is very cool! Do you have any great shots of the cheetahs on the Kilimanjaro Safaris?

Christmas in Animal Kingdom

Animal Kingdom Christmas Tree

One of my favorite things about the holiday season are all the decorations around town. Some of the best Christmas decorations I have seen are of course at Disney World. Each park celebrates the holiday season with different themes. Above is the gigantic Christmas Tree that can be found at the front of Animal Kingdom. It is an impressive tree with so many details. Take a look at some of the oranaments on the tree…

Hidden Mickey on Animal Kingdom Tree

There are uniquely Animal Kingdom and yet they are very festive. (psst see the Hidden Mickey?) And not only are the decorations on the tree beautiful the things under the tree are just as neat. Here is one of my favorite things under the tree…

Eeyore under the Animal Kingdom Tree

A mixture of classic Disney and Animal Kingdom. I love the expression on Eeyore’s face. He looks as if he is unsure of the zebra. The tree is not the only sign of the holidays in the park. You can also find subtle hints of Christmas throughout the park. And starting November 28, 2008 the Jammin Jungle Parade will be transformed into the Mickey’s Jingle Jungle Parade.
